BRISTOL City's Wes Burns has missed out on a place in Wales’ final 23-man squad for Euro 2016.
The City Academy product was named in Chris Coleman’s preliminary squad of 29 players for the tournament, which starts on Friday, June 10th.
Injuries to fellow forwards Tom Bradshaw and Tom Lawrence improved Burns’ chances, but the 21-year-old ultimately misses out as Coleman sticks with the bulk of the squad who helped Wales qualify for their first ever European Championship.
Former City loanee Adam Matthews is also absent from the final 23, despite earning an international recall after impressing at Ashton Gate on loan from Sunderland.
Wales, drawn alongside England in Group B, will face Slovakia (June 11th) and Russia (June 20th) either side of a Battle of Britain against the Three Lions (June 16th).
