SATURDAY proved to be a hugely successful day for 40 of Tockington Manor School’s cross country runners.
The Gloucestershire Cross Country County Championships took place at Old Down Country Park where the challenging course was both muddy and hilly.
Tockington Manor School’s young runners showed grit and determination as they pushed through their pain barriers to achieve outstanding results.
U11 Boys, U11 Girls and U13 Boys teams each won team Silver, the U13 Girls just missed Bronze and came a creditable fourth.
Tockington boys also won individual bronze medals in the U11 and U13 Boys. This is a Gloucestershire Cross Country Club event, meaning the best club runners in the county were competing.
