DURSLEY Road Club's Mike Davis and Russell Peace were at the Odd Down race circuit in Bath on Saturday for round eight of the Winter Series.
Tough conditions saw the group split which left Mike on the wrong side as he fought to regain contact. Russell held his ground in the main bunch only to lose out in the final sprint, narrowly missing out on a top ten.
The next day, two from Dursley RC completed the Severn RC 25m TT on the U109.
Andrew Muitt finished in one hour 10.05mins and Stephen Vaslet did one hour 24.14mins. Both were very respectable times given the strong wind speeds.
Despite the tough conditions Andrew Muitt said it was 'good to get the first TT of the season under his belt.'
Next week, Russell returns to Odd Down for the next round whilst Mike will be competing in the Chippenham and District Wheelers Hardriders on the hilly 22 mile U601 course.
