ALMONDSBURY travelled to Clevedon on Saturday and came away with a well deserved victory.
Batting first Almondsbury set a fine challenge of 230-7 in their 45 overs with Mike Perham scoring 54. Dan Dunt and Kyle Hartigan both scored 33 but skipper Aaron Jones bludgeoned 25, 20 of which came off the last over.
In reply, Clevedon started well with Jenkins 33 and Oliver 41 putting early runs on the board.
However, Aaron Jones manipulated his bowling attack well as Almondsbury seized back control eventually dismissing the home side for 167.
The wickets were distributed fairly evenly with Frolich 1-29. Dunt 1-20, Liam Hartigan 1-39, and Persaud 3-31.
Skipper Aaron Jones though lead by example returning 7.3-0-21-3 in Almondsbury’s 63 run victory.
