OLVESTON'S John Smallwood and Steve Knight, from Cheltenham, will go head to head for a second season running in the Gloucestershire Bowls Association Champion of Champions final, having meet in last's years Two Wood Final, that went in favour of Knight.
Smallwood, playing on his own Olveston Bowls Club rink, was up against Derek Smart (Caer Glow) in the semi-final and edged ahead 7-4 after the first seven ends when picking up a three and a two.
By the end of the 15th end, the gap was two shots in favour Smallwood who then took command with three winning ends that included a three to lead 17-10.
A double on the 22nd end took Smallwood to within sight of the winning post, which was duly completed two ends later with a single shot for a 21-14 win.
In the other match, Knight was given a walkover against Keith Hinder (Dursley) due to personal reasons.
The final is to be held on Sunday September 3 at Moreton.
