Thornbury Town 1 AEK Boco 1
THORNBURY Town entertained last year’s Les James League Cup winners AEK Boco at the Mundy Playing Fields and went into the game confident after two wins out of two in the Gloucestershire County League.
It was an excellent game of football throughout with both sides entertaining the eighty spectators that had turned out to watch.
There was no score at the break and it took until the 51st minute for the breakthrough to come and it went to the home side’s new signing Brandon Benjamin who poking the ball home after a scramble in the Boco area.
Five minutes later, Boco were level and it came from Harrison Kyte who curled his free kick from the edge of the box into the top corner.
Nevertheless, the draw means Thornbury remain in second place in the table, two points behind unbeaten leaders Lebeq United.
