OLVESTON United were in action Saturday away to Shaftesbury Crusade and managed to maintain their unbeaten start to the season with a hard fought 2-2 draw.
Olveston fell behind for the first time this season and showed good character to bounce back and get back in the game.
With a few key players missing it was crucial that the rest of the squad stepped up. Will Trueman made his first start this season and worked hard from the kick off and was rewarded with a goal to bring the game back to 1-1.
The game could have gone either way with both sides missing good chances to take the lead. Shaftesbury did go in front again after a mix up on the edge of the box between defender and goalkeeper.
Olveston didn't get their heads down and Luke Garbacz popped up in the box to draw the match level again after some good work from Matt Barnes.
Both sides still had chances to steal the points but the scores stayed level.
