Dursley Ladies 4 Badminton 0

TWO goals in each half gave Dursley Ladies their second successive 4-0 victory.

Dursley were quickly on the score sheet. A short corner in the opening minutes was sweetly struck into goal by Charlie Strickland. When Badminton tried to equalise the strong Dursley defence of Linzi Moulder, Clare Rodgers, Stacy Sealey and Kirsty Weyman stood firm although keeper Hayley Critchley had to make two sliding saves to keep the ball out.

Pip Cory kept a tight hold on midfield play. Amber Coombes made a strong run at the visiting defence and was not to be denied when converting an excellent cross from Rodgers to double Dursley’s score before half time.

Early in the second half, Pip Spyvee scored when she seized on a blocked shot from Strickland again following a short corner. The final goal came as a result of a bout of inter-passing between Rodgers, Nadia Mellerup and Coombes which lead to Caitlin Cother scoring from close in.
