AN exciting evening of amateur boxing featuring up and coming stars and senior fighters, is being held on Saturday evening.
Synwell Amateur Boxing Club is hosting the event at Listers Hall in Dursley, which will be the first event of its kind in five years.
The crowd will be treated to a variety of schoolboy, junior and senior bouts on the night, with boxers travelling from around the west country and Wales to compete.
Synwell boxers currently training hard in preparation to compete on the night include Danny Lord (Bristol), Elliot Joseph, Jordan Iles, Alex Stephens (Wotton Under Edge), Will Delnivo (Nailsworth), Danny Myers (Sharpness), Kieran Bragg, Thomas Diamond, Josh Ellis (Dursley), Harrison Boxall (Uley) and Patrick May (Thornbury).
Yate Amateur Boxing Club will be represented by Tom Brunn, Joe Hollick, Craig Sword and Sam May.
Doors open at 6.30pm, with the boxing getting underway at 7.30pm. Tickets are £10 for adults and £5 for under 16’s. For tickets contact Chris on 07780 701322 or Ken on 07837 207972. Tickets will also be available on the door and there will be a bar.
Synwell Amateur Boxing Club was established in 1951 and is run by a team of dedicated voluntary coaches.
It is based above the cinema in Wotton Under Edge and training is held on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
