Forest Green Rovers left back Joseph Mills has been speaking about his time at the club, ahead of Rovers' match away at MK Dons.

The full back joined the club from Perth Glory in Australia in June following spells with Reading and Burnley.

The 28-year-old admitted that the side are a little frustrated with some of the draws this season, before stating that the mood is still positive.

"We just need to make sure that when we are up in matches we maintain the lead and keep pressing for the next goal," Mills said.

"We are just trying to find that way of getting over the line, whether it is keeping it tight or if it is us looking for the next goal.

"Everyone can see that we are confident in matches, we have been controlling games.

"As I said we have been a bit frustrated but we are not losing football matches, we keep picking up those points.

"Come the end of the season these points will add up so if we can add a few wins to that it will be good come the end of the year."

On the opponents this weekend, also unbeaten MK Dons, Mills admitted that his side are prepared for their toughest test.

"They are a very good team, we are under no illusion that they are going to come out and play," he said.

"For us we need to try and impose ourselves on the match.

"The way we played in games this season we have played some good stuff, we have quality in all the right areas so we believe that we can go there and get the result."

Mills, who was born and grew up in Swindon, was not sure if this was the longest unbeaten streak of his career, but he admitted that the team is in a really good place.

"I'm not sure if it is the longest run, I have not really thought about it to be honest.

"When I was at Reading we had a good run but, here at the moment I have really enjoyed it so far.

"It is quite transparent for everyone outside, you can see that the players are all in it for each other and for the fans and management because we want to perform well.

"We are unbeaten but we are not resting on any laurels and we want to keep pushing onward."
