Thornbury Town have completed their required ground improvements as new floodlights were switched on for the first time last week at Mundy Fields.
The improvements were needed following Town's promotion.
Town have said there may still need to be some minor adjustments by the installers ahead of their first floodlit match which is scheduled for
Tuesday 25th September when Almondsbury visit.
Thorns were without a game last weekend but had a Subsidiary Cup derby game away at Tytherington Rocks on Wednesday where they were hoping to continue their good start to the season.
They are back in action at Mundy Fields on Saturday when Premier Division side Longlevens visit in the first Round of the GFA Challenge Trophy.
Elsewhere, the Reserves were in action and secured an emphatic 7-1 win at home to Barnwood United. They had the game won by half-time , having raced into a 4-0 lead with goals from Luke Franklin, Nathan Sage, Jon Organ and David Watola. Josh Reed scored a brace and Archie Griffiths netted in the second half.
