It has been another successful season for Olveston and District Bowling Club with both ladies and men doing well in Bristol and Gloucestershire County competitions.
"It has been a great season for outdoor bowling," said club chairman, Geoff Cook.
"The weather has been fantastic and congratulations to our members who have been showing off their skills in open competition. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our green keeper John Arrowsmith and his team for all their hard work throughout the year. Our green has played very well and has been complemented by many visitors during the season."
City & County of Bristol Singles Champion was Ian Barton. He played a very competitive game against Steve Neal from GB Britton in the final. On the 18th end he was down by 9 shots to 17 but managed to pull back- winning 21 - 20 after 27 ends.
