Forest Green midfielder Lloyd James has been named in the 'team of the season so far' by WhoScored.

The midfielder started 11 of Rovers' first 12 games so far this season and has proved to be a fine acquisition.

James is alongside Exeter City's Nicky Law and Bury's Danny Mayor in the midfield of the Sky Bet League Two team of the first quarter of the season as reported by Sky Sports.

Elsewhere in the team, Exeter's Christy Pym has been chosen between the sticks.

The back five includes Jordan Moore-Taylor (MK Dons), Michael Bostwick (Lincoln City), George Edmundson (Oldham Athletic), Ryan Jackson (Colchester United) and Dan Butler (Newport County).

Elsewhere, Exeter's Jayden Stockley partners Crawley Town's Ollie Palmer up front.

Stevenage's Dino Maamria is the chosen manager.
