Gloucestershire County Women's League Division Two

Dursley Town Ladies 1 Cirencester Town Ladies 4

IT would take a brave individual to attempt to predict the outcome of this Sunday's cup tie between Cirencester and Dursley after two contrasting league encounters.

Having run out 5-1 winners in the opening game of their trilogy last weekend, Dursley saw Cirencester respond with a 4-1 victory at the Rec in the return fixture.

Michelle Watson had already seen a shot tipped onto the crossbar for the home side before Charlotte Warren ran through to give the hosts a 15th-minute lead.

However, Dursley could not build on their good start and found themselves level at the break as Cirencester got more into the game as it progressed.

The match was ultimately decided by which team took their chances, as Cirencester scored three more goals, while Warren and Zoe Gabb were unable to convert theirs.

And Dursley's problems were added to when goalkeeper Vix Thomas injured her ankle taking a kick, meaning young midfielder Skye Smith had to take over in goal.

Dursley: V Thomas; C Uzzell, C Gabb, S Drew, J Gillingham; S Lawrence, B Allen, S Smith; C Warren, M Watson, Z Gabb. Rolling substitutes: E Allen, L Hughes, V Mansell, R Rocke.

Goals: Warren (15).
