Gloucestershire County Women's League Gordon Perrett Cup Round Two

Cirencester Town Ladies 4

Dursley Town Ladies 1

DURSLEY tumbled out of the League Cup at the hands of Cirencester as the two clubs' three-week-long trilogy concluded with a second win for the Centurions.

For the visitors, goalkeeper Jodie Turl played her first game in two-and-a-half years, while dual-registered Purnell Sports player Alex Gwyther was on the bench.

The first half was fairly even, but perhaps struggling to adapt to the artificial surface at the Corinium Stadium, the away side fell three goals behind at the interval.

Dursley rallied ten minutes into the second half when Emma Allen won the ball on the right and found Gwyther, who lobbed the ball in with her weaker right foot.

Cirencester added a fourth goal, however, and the closest the visitors came to a second themselves was when Michelle Watson stabbed the ball against the post late on.

Dursley: J Turl; E Allen, N Patterson, G Butler, C Gabb, C Uzzell; S Lawrence, B Allen, S Smith; M Watson, Z Gabb.

Rolling substitutes: A Gwyther, S Hill.

Goals: Gwyther (55).
