Tetbury 32
Cainscross 29
TETBURY edged the spoils in a hotly contested local derby.
The game was a real back-and-forth affair with Tetbury using their new signings to good effect and Cainscross creating the platform with their dominant pack.
Carter was in fine form with a hat-trick of tries on his return and the young pack was ably led by Pollard. A youthful, yet abrasive back-row combination was to the fore with Kiff, Voyce and Cremins seemingly competing to win the most turnovers.
Tetbury scored some fine tries and Cainscross thought they had earned the spoils when veteran Richard Stonebridge went over from close range. However, it was not meant to be and the Tetbury scored out wide to secure the win.
Cainscross take on Tewkesbury in their final league game of 2018 at Victory Park, Saturday, 2.30pm.
The annual Chris Mills' memorial game takes place on Boxing Day, 12pm.
