Frampton United 3

Broadwell Amateurs 1

SECOND-PLACE Frampton United shook off their defeat from last week and hit back with a 3-1 win at home to Broadwell Amateurs.

In a game that was dominated by the home side, Mat Blythe's side should have taken the lead in the 8th minute when Josh Beadle played the ball through to Adam Bloomfield, but he shot wide.

Then, Sean Lawson hit the bar on 20 minutes. On 22 minutes the home side went 1-0 up as Joe Wilton’s first attempt was blocked, he followed up to make no mistake with the second.

On 26 minutes Beadle struck the upright.

On 41 minutes Broadwell drew level when Ian Price bundled the ball into the net from a corner for their only real chance in the game. The home side went 2-1 up on 73 minutes when Fraser Wilson sent Jonathan Lewis clear to score. Lewis was unlucky in the 84th minute when his shot went just the wrong side of the upright. Frampton sewed the points up on 82 minutes when Liam Harper let fly from 25 yards and the ball flew into the top corner.
