BOSS Ryan Lowe waxed lyrical about the part he played in Nicky Maynard’s late winner as title-chasing Bury came from behind at Forest Green.
Former Premier League star Maynard popped up with just seven minutes left on the clock to make it four wins on the spin for the Shakers, leaving Lowe to remind him of his early days at Crewe.
He quipped: “It was a great finish, but I taught Nicky (Maynard) his finishing at Crewe all those years ago.”
Earlier, Bury had been on the rocks after Reece Brown had given play-off chasing Rovers the lead in the first-half.
Lowe heaped praise on his side, adding:“The lads have been class for us and it's another win.
“It was a massively important win for us, especially away from home.
“It was a poor first-half, we know Forest Green are a good passing side, but we turned it round at half-time.”
