Freezing weather decimates local football programme but it's game on for Shortwood United
THE freezing weather is wreaking havoc with today’s football schedule up and down the county.
Forest Green's trip to west country rivals Swindon Town was called off this morning and Cirencester's home clash against Larkhall has also fallen foul along with Yate Town's trip to Fleet.
Matches in the Hellenic League, County League, Stroud League and elsewhere have been ruled out. Meanwhile, Slimbridge's match at Evesham is set for a noon pitch inspection.
However, Shortwood United's trip to Bridgwater Town is on and will be the only game given the go ahead in the Western League this afternoon.
