Yate Town boss Paul Britton feels his side should have won a lot more comfortably than they did, claiming his side could have won multiple matches with the chances they missed.

The Bluebells were 3-2 victors against local rivals Bristol Manor Farm at the weekend as they continue to keep pace with Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South leaders Blackfield & Langley.

Britton was pleased with the result but felt they should have had the game wrapped up earlier than they did.

"They put us through it a bit," he said. "We created enough to win three games let alone one."

New signing Lewis Leigh-Gilchrist, who signed on loan from Bristol Rovers on Friday, scored a brace and the Yate boss was delighted with the impact he made on his second debut for the club.

"We're delighted with him," Britton said. "He scored two goals but he should have had a hat-trick really.

"He's started well, set the standard and can't let that slip now."

Yate take on 12th placed Highworth Town on Saturday and Britton insists every game will be treated as a crucial clash.

"I think we've got to treat every game like the most important one of the season," Britton commented. "We can't afford a lack of concentration because we can't stop Moneyfields or Blackfield winning.

"Highworth are a good side on their day. Saturday is now most important of the season and that's how we're treating it."
