Yate Town boss Paul Britton is chuffed to have midfield general Nick Peare back and firing after his hat-trick against Slimbridge.

Peare missed the last four games through suspension but returned in emphatic style with a stunning teble which included two 30 yard screamers.

Britton hailed the impact of Peare and is pleased he's back available for the title run in.

"Welcome back Nick," he said.

"He's cost us in the last four games with suspension but he's scored to great left footers and a header and he was the difference so we're glad to have him back with nine games to go."

Peare seemed to be having his own goal of the season competition. The first was an arrowed strike with the outside of his boot from distance while the second a 30-yard piledriver.

They were hard to seperate but Britton was able to pick a favourite.

"I'm going to go with the second," Britton declared.

"He was in control of it, left foot and he's put it in the far corner but they were three quality goals.

"The guy who normally films them is not here today so he's gutted in the changing room.

Yate ended a two match winless run against Slimbridge but remain three points off Blackfield & Langley who also won but Britton insists his team will keep going and that they're still enjoying the ride.

"It's tight, there's nine games to go and the countdown is on.

"It's a good season already but we want it to be a better season.

"It's exciting, I'm loving every minute so far. They put you through the mill a bit but I'm OK today."
