Olveston broke their recent poor form with a thumping 8-0 win over Hallen Reserves.

The opener came on the 17th minute when Phil Williams slotted home from a rebound.

A minute later, Joe Loney struck from 25 yards to double their lead.

The third came on 36 minutes when Loney's cross was tapped in by Williams for his second.

The second half continued like the first, with the O’s dominating.

On 53 minutes Williams headed in his hat-trick.

Shortly afterwards, Williams was pulled down in the box and added his fourth from the penalty spot.

Five minutes later, James Thomas hit a sweet volley from the edge of the box before Trueman lobbed the keeper for 7-0.

In the final minute, Matt Knight finished to complete the rout.

Old Down Cricket Club will be holding their pre-season net sessions next week.

The sessions will be starting on Tuesday, April 2 and will be held at Castle School in Thornbury from 7.30pm.

Current, ex and new members are all welcome to attend.

Old Down play in the in Bristol and District league.

Their first game is against Long Ashton on Saturday, May 4.
