A QUARTET of Thornbury development squad have been selected in the final squad of 25 to represent Gloucestershire County at Under 17 level.

Following a win against Somerset to start this campaign, Kieran Sparrow, Ben Hillier, Alex Johnson and Ben Marlow have been selected to play in the forthcoming final county games.

The four players will travel to Witney RFC on Sunday for a game against Oxfordshire and on Sunday, April 28 they travel to Royal Wootton Bassett RFC for their final game against Dorset and Wiltshire.

These four players are in addition to two other development squad (Colts) players, Max Curtis and Tim Cunningham, who were also selected to represent Gloucester County at Under 18 level earlier in the season.

The Thornbury RFC development squad is always keen to welcome additional players. The team trains on a Tuesday and Thursday night and are coached by an experienced team of former Premiership players keen to develop individuals and assist with the transition into senior rugby.
