SLAD trainer Tom George was "over the moon" after Singlefarmpayment placed eighth at the Grand National.

"We’re over the moon with Singlefarmpaymen'ts eighth-place in today’s Grand National, said George.

"He didn’t miss a beat, jumping superbly and given a fine ride by PaddyBrennan.

"Congratulations to Tiger Roll & the Gelliottracing team on such a historic win, a fantastic advert for our sport."

Jockey Paddy Brennan added: "The Grand National is the greatest horse race. So proud to be part of it today. Thanks to Singlefarmpayment for a great spin round."

Nine-year-old gelding Tiger Roll became the first horse since Red Rum 45 years earlier to claim back-to-back victories.

Red Rum claimed a record third win in 1977 but no runner in the race's 180-year history has won three in a row.
