YOU can see most of the country’s fastest female motocross racers in action this coming Sunday, when the Uley MXC host the opening round of the Westerman's International British Women’s Motocross Championship, writes Mike Wood.

The venue for Sunday’s event is North Nibley in Gloucestershire, and with Mike Dunham the current tenant of this super scenic venue you can be assured that track conditions will be prepped to perfection and just ready to be ripped!

With a massive prize fund of nearly £3,500 up for grabs in the Women’s overall championship standings, the girls will certainly be ready to go, with the racing ultra-competitive and very exciting.

For 2019 the females have four different groups to contest. The youngest girls will be in the 65cc and 85cc groups whilst the fast ladies ride in the amateur open adult and pro open adult.

Last year Chelsea Gowland from Cheshire took the title and she will be back in 2019 to try and defend her crown.

Throughout the day there will be not only racing for the girls but also a full programme of competition from all the local AMCA groups.

The entertainment is due to get underway at 10.30am and go right through until around 5pm with admission charges for spectators of just £5 for Adults, £2 OAP's and children Under-16 getting in for free.

So get along to North Nibley, area code GL11 6DL.
