Gloucestershire County Women's League Division Two

Dursley Town Ladies 1

Bristol Ladies Union Development 6

DURSLEY concluded their season with a disappointing home defeat which highlighted the standard required to get into the promotion race next term.

Town took an early lead through Zoe Gabb and were level at the break, but were overrun in the second half by a side that passed and moved at pace.

Michelle Watson put Gabb in for the opener, the forward lobbing over the goalkeeper, who could only flap the ball into the net as they chased it down.

Union, however, equalised within three minutes following a fine through ball, and they had another goal disallowed for offside shortly before half-time.

The second half was very one-sided, however, with substitutions affecting a Town side who conceded four goals in seven minutes after the hour mark.

A sixth goal arrived three minutes from time, leaving Dursley just inside the top half of the table, but well behind the promotion contenders.
