GRACIE BARRA jiu-jitsu club won medals galore at the national BJJ British Open event in their first foray into competitive competition at the NEC in Birmingham.
Pete Turner won a bronze for the Yate-based club. Winning three fights, and then narrowly losing in the semi-final to the competitor who went on to win the gold.
Elsewhere, Dave White had an amazing tournament bringing home another bronze fro Gracie Barra. Meanwhile, Izzy Yeend,14, bagged a silver medal.
The three-day event also featured eye-catching performances from James Staley, Adam Horgan, Craig Moore, Jordan Rawlings and the seven-year-old Liam Vieth.
