Brentford have completed the signing of former Forest Green central defender Ethan Pinnock from Barnsley for an undisclosed fee.
Barnsley wanted to make Pinnock their best-paid player to stop the former Forest Green defender leaving Oakwell.
The Tykes planned to give Pinnock,26, £10,000 a week after reports suggest Brentford offered £3million for his services, meaning Forest Green are likely to receive a percentage of the transfer fee as part of their original £750,000 deal with Barnsley.
Boss Mark Cooper discovered Pinnock at Dulwich Hamlet and the leggy defender spent the 2016/17 season at the New Lawn and played a pivotal role in guiding Rovers into the Football League for the first time via the National League play-offs.
