CASTLE School turned up the heat at the West of England Summer School Games at Yate athletics track.
All teams had previously qualified for this level three competition, by winning the level two.
Evie Turner, in Year 8, won both her events with ease - she is certainly an athlete with huge potential and promise for the future. Meanwhile, the Year 7 team missed out on the gold medal, by only three points with each student receiving points for their finishing position, with the overall total being calculated from all events.
Elsewhere, the Year 8 team retained their gold medal title, winning convincingly with strong performances all- round.
Year 7: Esther Jenkinson, Frankie Welsher, Emilie Day, Sophie Vizard, Grace Keel and Rose Alexander.
Year 8: EvieTurner, Jess Low, Mina Tomkins, Connie Talbot, Melena Petkova and Felicity Whiteway.
