FREE-SCORING Forest Green sharpened their aim on the forthcoming League Two season with another avalanche of pre-season goals.

Fresh from a 6-1 victory over Yate Town, Mark Cooper's side demolished Southern Premier League outfit Salisbury FC 4-0 at the Ray Mac. Junior Mondal helped himself to brace, a Joe Mills penalty and another strike from in-form striker Shawn McCoulsky completed a routine victory against Steve Claridge's side.

Rovers raced into the lead on 13 minutes when Joe Mills rifled home from the spot after the electric Mondal had been brought to ground.

Mondal made it 2-0 to Rovers after 29 minutes - Joe Mills arrowed the ball across the box after Dayle Grubb had picked him out. On the cusp of the break Mondal notched his second after Bristol City loanee James Morton saw his stinging drive palmed back into the danger zone.

Rovers made it 4-0 with 10 minutes to go - sub McCoulsky stabbing home from a Farrend Rawson flick.

Salisbury missed the chance for 90th-minute consolation when Warren Bentley skewed his penalty opportunity against the crossbar.

Rovers welcome Championship outfit Bristol City on Wednesday, 7.45pm and complete their pre-season schedule with a trip to Jerry Gill's Bath City next Saturday.
