MARK COOPER is in the running to be the next Millwall manager, according to reports.

The Championship side are searching for a new manager following Neil Harris’ shock decision to step down from his post earlier this week.

A Millwall source has told Football Insider that Forest Green Rovers’ Cooper is among the candidates on the Lions’ shortlist, having proven his ability to work successfully on a limited budget at the League Two outfit.

When asked by SNJ sports editor Ashley Loveridge to respond to the link with Millwall, Cooper said: "I haven't got any thoughts. You've seen in recent weeks, Flynny (Michael Flynn) at Newport and  (Duffo) Michael Duff at Cheltenham being linked to jobs, it happens."

Former West Brom boss Tony Pulis is also in contention along with ex-Brighton manager Chris Hughton and Roy Keane.
