TEENAGE race ace Alfie Gendall was crowned Junior ACCR (American Cup Car Racing) British champion last weekend at Swaffham Raceway in Norfolk.

Alfie,13, started on the second row and was happy to finish second. The Yate youngster kept his slicks on for the second heat starting from the back row but the rain started just as they were lining up. Despite the wet track he managed to get up to second place.

With two second places in the heats, Alfie started the reverse grid final right at the back, but incredibly kept his nerve to cross the line in first and become British champion.

"I am over the moon to take the win in the final and the title," said Alfie.

"In tricky conditions I managed to stay out of trouble and the car behaved which was great. I have loved my first season in Junior ACCR, made some great new friends and been happy with my performances."

Alfie would like to thank all his sponsors.

Alfie is looking for new sponsors to help him fund his racing in 2020, if your company would like to have their logo/details on his car and be seen by thousands of people across the UK please email him at alfiegendallracing@gmail.com or find him on social media.
