BRISTOL CITY loanee Louis Britton salvaged an FA Trophy first qualifying round replay as Yate Town fought back from 2-0 down in a six-goal thriller against Tiverton Town at Lodge Road on Tuesday night.

Earlier, Tiverton stung Town with first-half goals from Jared Lewington and Jordan Bastin inside the opening 10 minutes.

Yate captain Nick Peare got the Bluebells back into the tie with a sumptuous strike on 31 minutes as his side started to turn the screw.

Yate were hit on 59 minutes as Lewington notched his second and Tiverton’s third. However, the goal tide continued three minutes later when Yate’s Sam Kamara fizzed in from 30 yards to put Paul Britton’s side back in the tie.

And Britton forced a replay with a composed finish with 20 minutes to go.

The replay will take place at Tiverton next Wednesday.

Yate: Forster, Evans, Keightley, Peare (c), Lee, Boulton, Kamara, Guest, Britton, Spokes, Webb.
