Dursley Town AFC round-up

DURSLEY re-established their three-point advantage at the top of Stroud League Division One with an 8-0 hammering of struggling Kingswood.

Karl Nash's visitors were well on the way to victory by half-time thanks to goals from Antony Nash, Aaron Booth and Curtis Mills.

And the rout was completed after the break with further strikes from Chris Lindsay, Pete Holder, Booth again, James Mackie and Ryan Stevenson.

Having played seven league games, Town have won six and drawn one, while Kingswood have now lost all seven of their league contests.

* Christy McDonald's fortunate late winner gave Dursley Reserves a well-earned 3-2 win at Minchinhampton Reserves in Stroud Division Five.

Town had fallen behind midway through the first half, but levelled straight away via Joel Stoneman's 25-yarder and took the lead through Will Gosling.

Gosling and Ben Mooney both missed open goals as Dursley failed to extend their lead, and they were punished when Minch equalised.

The home goalkeeper also made a trio of excellent saves, but inside the last ten minutes he allowed McDonald's speculative effort through his hands.

* Dursley 3rds progressed to the next round of the Bill Bick Cup with a 5-1 home win over their Tetbury counterparts at the Rec.

Chris Hyam led the way with two goals, while Steven Crowcombe, Dom Randall and an own goal rounded off the scoring after Tetbury had led.

* Zoe Gabb scored four goals and Michelle Watson hit a hat-trick as Dursley Ladies eased into the quarter-finals of the GFA Women's Challenge Cup.

Gemma Butler was also on target in an 8-0 victory at hapless Stonehouse, who fielded just nine players and forfeited midway through the second half.

Gabb netted all four of her strikes in a six-goal first half, Watson completed her treble early in the second period, and Butler then added number eight.

* Dursley firsts host third-placed Tetbury on Saturday, while the Reserves visit their Berkeley counterparts, and the 3rds go to Painswick Reserves, but the Ladies are not scheduled to play again until December 8, meaning by then they will have played just once in nearly two months.
