Yate RFC go into the new year top of the table in the Wadworths Bristol and District 2 league.
After recording a 72- 26 win at North Bristol RFC before Christmas, this was Yate’s seventh win in eight league games.
Fly-half James Cannon scored a club record 37 points in a single game with four tries, seven conversions and a penalty. The game also saw club skipper Neil Olive record a hundred points for the club with his solo try. Other scores came from the prolific Craig Archer with two tries and a try a piece for Neil Lavelle, John Muckle, Cousins Liam and Rhys Summerville. John Muckle’s was his first for the club.
