Conrad Logan 6

Marshalled his defence with vocal authority. Little to do apart from picking the ball out of his net.

Dom Bernard 5

Defended stoutly, but few opportunities to drive forward.

Liam Kitching 6

Not at his imperious best today.

Farrend Rawson 6

A standout performer this season, but not his usual dominant self. His clearing header led to the sumptuous Macclesfield winner.

Nathan McGinley 5

Offered a rare chance due to Joseph Mills crying off in the morning, but did little to suggest he’ll keep his place.

Ebo Adams 6

Ran out of ideas after a decent first half.

Carl Winchester 8

If the player of the season awards were handed out in January, then Rovers all-action midfielder would win hands down. Great strike for the opener.

Jevani Brown 5

Blew a chance to put Rovers 2-0 up before the break and tweaked his hamstring in the process.

Rob Hall 5

Quiet debut and clearly looked rusty after lack of competitive action, but more to come from the Oxford United loanee.

Odin Bailey 7

Decent debut from the Birmingham City loanee. He gave it his best shot and looked more of a threat when moved into a central position. Played his part in Rovers’ opener.

Josh March 5

Huffed and puffed. His weak spot-kick after the break proved to be the pivotal moment of the match,

Subs

Junior  Mondal 5 (for Brown 28)

Afforded an early opportunity to put his stamp on the game, but was largely ineffective.

Aaron Collins 7 (for Hall 65)

Lively cameo and his run led to Macclesfield’s red card.

Matty Stevens (for Josh March 88)

*Subs must play 15 minutes to get a mark.
