YATE TOWN 0

IN-FORM Metropolitan Police gave Yate Town the blues as they posted their sixth-straight victory.

After an impressive victory over Swindon Supermarine, Yate, who are now three points above the relegation zone, struggled to get a foothold in a game that saw a floodlight issue delay the kick-off.

Yate were caught cold when Jack Mazzone touched home inside four minutes.

A dominant Police side almost doubled their first-half lead, when Tom Curson’s burst through and had his shot clatter the inside of the post into the hands of Adam Foster.

Yate couldn't break through a very dominant defence that kept on denying them of any hope back in the game.

The home side settled the game after the break when Mazzone grabbed his second.
