SHARPNESS are four points behind County League leaders Frampton after Brad Hewer's sumptuous free-kick won the game for the Sharks at Gala Wilton.
Earlier, Ryan Dobbins and Jay Dare had early chances for the home side, but Dobbins shot wide and Dare straight at the keeper. Sharpness striker Dan Gayner then missed a good chance on 23 minutes and Fin Small dribbled past several home defenders only to lose the ball at the last moment.
Sharpness went ahead in the 42nd minute, Hewer curling the ball over the wall and into the Gala net.
Martin Smith had a great chance to level on 52 minutes, but his header missed the target.
On 66 minutes Jordan Molyneux struck the cross bar for the home side. Then, late in the game Ben Sluman’s effort skimmed across goal and out of play.
