Forest Green's League Two fixture with Barrow on Saturday has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.

A statement on the club's website says: "Frost covers have been protecting the surface since Monday afternoon - but freezing temperatures in Nailsworth means the pitch is unplayable."

A new date for the match has yet to be announced, but Forest Green are now facing an increasingly congested fixture list.

The club has 11 league matches scheduled in the next six weeks, with just one free midweek slot before April.

Rovers have not played since February 2 after Saturday's match away to Mansfield was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Mark Cooper's side are due to host Oldham Athletic on Tuesday in a game that was abandoned in January due to fog.
