It’s taken 88 years but a team of four ladies from Chipping Sodbury Golf Club have finally won the Gloucestershire County Nett Team Championship.
The competition was held at Ross On Wye Golf Club on July 22 and the course was in great condition, albeit challenging with very fast greens.
Thirty-one teams of four players took part, with three out of four scores to count.
The team of Andrea Jenkins, Fay Austen, Brenda St Paul and Tracy Waring came first with 108 points, with their nearest rivals on 101. Tracy Waring came first in the individual competition.
The ladies are ecstatic to bring the trophy to Chipping Sodbury Golf Club and look forward to defending their title next year.
