YATE Town's horrendous run of form continued at the weekend as they suffered a seventh straight defeat with a 1-0 loss to fellow relegation rivals Hartley Wintney.

The winner came in the 65th minute when Anis Nuur found the back of the net after good work from Tom Leggett and Harry Cooksley. 

Yate were desperate for a victory to try and move away from Wintney in second-bottom in the Southern League Premier South, but fell to a morale-sapping loss. 

The result means they stay third-bottom (28 points), one point ahead of last weekend's opponents. Bottom of the table North Leigh have 25 points but do have a game in hand on the two sides above them. 

Wintney keeper Marcin Brzozowski did produce a stunning double save in the last minute to deny Yate what could have been a crucial point. 

But their luck was out and the run of defeats continues and with eight games left to play, relegation continues to pose a serious threat to
