THORNBURY Town's recent revival continued on Tuesday night as they made it four games unbeaten in the Hellenic League Premier.

But it was a slightly disappointing evening in the end as a last-minute goal from Brimscombe & Thrupp's Oliver Barnes prevented them taking all three points.

Thornbury had come from a goal down in the first-half to lead 2-1 heading into stoppage time thanks to goals from Stanley Wyatt and Nathan Sage following Barnes' first of the night in the 23rd minute.

But the Brimmy striker netted again deep into stoppage time to salvage a point for the visitors.

But despite the frustration, Thornbury's impressive form has seen them move up into 16th in the table, having been in serious relegation trouble only weeks ago.

They have won four of their last seven in the league inside the last five weeks.

Back-to-back victories over Longlevens and Hereford Lads Club was soon followed with that shock 3-0 win over then league leaders Malvern Town.

A 1-0 victory at Mangotsfield United and 2-2 draws with Tuffley and Brimmy now means they are nine points clear of the relegation zone.
