DURSLEY Rugby Club's first, second and third teams have completed the Stroud Combination Cup treble for the second time in seven years.

The first team won the Senior Cup in a close match against rivals Stroud in their own backyard on Saturday 6th May.

Dursley then had the home advantage for two of the matches, the Junior and Bill Adams Cup finals that took place on Saturday 13th May.

Dursley 2s beat Painswick 43-28 whilst the 3s beat Minchinhampton 22-0 to complete the treble, something the club also completed back in 2016.

Phil Sprague, Chairman of Dursley Rugby Club, said: “Winning all three trophies is a huge achievement on the back of a successful season for our senior men.

"This year we've had a significant amount of players available to us, showing that we've managed to rebuild our teams after the pandemic break.

"Congratulations must go to all of the players involved in these matches and in particular the coaching and management team - Rich Timbrell, Josh Bailey and Tom Jepps - who have led so well.

"Many of our players have come through our own mini and youth system and there’s a lot for the whole club to feel proud of."
