JOSH Willis netted a 28-minute hat-trick as Pershore Town produced a clinical second-half display to thrash Thornbury Town 6-0.

Aidan Clark put the visitors ahead, but they were unable to build on their advantage in the first-half.

But The Plums came out firing after the restart and Willis' low shot after a neat move with Clark doubled their advantage.

It quickly became 0-3 as Clark helped himself to another, this time smashing home from 20 yards to put the game beyond the hosts.

It was a trademark Willis goal for the fourth; drifting in off the right wing onto his left foot before finding the bottom corner.

In almost identical fashion, Willis completed his hat-trick, this time cutting back onto his left and drifting past a few defenders before coolly slotting home.

Sam Clark added a sixth in stoppage time to add further gloss to the score line as Pershore got back to winning ways in convincing fashion after last week's surprise 2-0 defeat at home to Slimbridge.

They are in Worcestershire Senior Cup action on Wednesday evening at home to neighbours and local rivals Worcester Raiders.
