FORMER Berkeley resident Christian Ribeiro is expected to travel with the Bristol City first team squad to Forest Green Rovers for the pre-season friendly on Saturday.

City boss Gary Johnson will take a full strength squad with him, including new signing Gavin Williams and is expected to play two different sides in each half.

Ex-Wanswell Wanderers youth player Ribeiro has been linked with a move to Everton, but is part of Johnson's first team plans for the upcoming campaign and should play 45 minutes at the New Lawn.

Forest Green manager Jim Harvey will dish out pre-season debuts to a quartet of new faces.

Strikers Andy Mangan and Kaid Mohamed, signed from Bury and Swindon respectively, are set to start up front in a new look attack.

Harvey will also include midfielders Conal Platt, signed from Weymouth, and former Newport man Lee Fowler.

The game is a 3pm kick-off and is £10 for adults, £5 for senior citizens and under-16s pay £2, or gain free entry with a full paying adult.

Steve Coppell's Reading will visit the New Lawn next Tuesday, July 15.
