YATE and Sodbury Striders are proving age is no barrier to running.
YASS had five athletes representing England at the recent Birmingham International 10k.
At the Bristol 10k Caroline Nicholas from Yate was first brit home in the whole race, aged 41 this was an amazing achievement
Marian Grace aged 65 was 2nd in her age group. Marian is from Thornbury and started running just two years ago. A feature on Marian will be inspirational.
Caroline Lavis aged 77 was first in the over 75 after finishing 3rd at Birmingham.Caroline is the 2023 British masters 800 and 1500 Champion
Mary Derrick is a legend at 67 winning the recent South Cerney Tri athlon that clashed with the Bristol 10k.
