THREE Spaniorum Farm gym boxers will be fighting in the third Hatton Promotions event at the Marriott Hotel in Bristol on Saturday.

However, rising star Danny Butler will not be defending his Western Area middleweight title as no serious contenders are willing to fight him. Instead he will come up against Nottingham’s Matt Scriven.

Former Welterweight Champion Jane Couch is co-promoting once again with Ricky Hatton, the two-time IBF and IBO welterweight champion who was comprehensively beaten by Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas last month.

Couch said: “The problem is that Danny is too good and progressing so quickly that it is becoming harder to find him a worthwhile opponent.”

She added: “I am so excited about Danny. Another couple of big wins and he will soon be in the top ten and in with a chance of the British title.”

Butler, aged just 21, is currently 19th in the domestic middleweight rankings.

Pete ‘Choirboy’ Leworthy will also be representing the Compton Greenfield-based club and he takes on Latvian Pavels Senkovs as he aims to extend his unbeaten run and Martin Robins faces his second professional fight.
