FOREST GREEN boss Dave Hockaday insisted his side are due to give someone a "tonking" after their draw at Altrincham on Saturday.

He watched his side fight-back from a 2-0 deficit at Altrincham on Saturday with Sean Rigg's late equaliser seeing his side snatch a point.

"Someone is going to get a tonking off us one day," said Hockaday. "We are a force at the moment and no one really wants to play us."

However, Hockaday was far from happy when Altrincham took an early lead after Rob Williams headed home Matthew Doughty's 13th minute cross and Chris Senior doubled their advantage when he latched on to Colin Little's pass and fired into the top corner nine minutes later.

He said: "We were very poor in the first 20 minutes and conceded two bad goals."

Paul Stonehouse should have given Rovers the lead on 12 seconds, but he shot wide with just the keeper to beat.

Nonetheless, despite going 2-0 down, Rovers rallied to Hockaday's delight. He added: "We dominated the remaining 70 minutes and are creating chances and growing in belief and strength, but we can't keep on giving ourselves a mountain to climb."

The lead was halved on 30 minutes. Jonathan Smith slotted home after a cross from Rigg, who shortly afterwards hit the under side of the bar.

Alty were indebted to keeper Stuart Coburn, who thwarted Rovers after the break.

However, with just five minutes left Rigg popped up to smash in a goal that Rovers certainly deserved.
