BATH CITY goalkeeper Ryan Robinson has been enjoying text and facebook banter with his former Forest Green team-mates ahead of the big FA Cup clash.

However, the Bath City number one, who left the New Lawn in May, will certainly be trying to get one over on his former employers tomorrow.

Cheltenham-based Robinson said: "I am really happy to be playing Forest Green.

"The texts and facebook banter has been flying around with Terry Burton, Conal Platt and goalkeeping coaches Mick Byrne and Kevin Phillips.

"Jack Russell also sent me a message to say well done for beating Grimsby, but warned me that Rovers are coming to get me!"

Sean Rigg’s return to Bristol Rovers is a welcome boost after Robinson witnessed the striking capabilities of Forest Green's top scorer at close hand during his rehab from a summer back operation.

"Dave Hockaday kindly allowed me to complete my rehabilitation with Forest Green. I came up against Sean Rigg in training and it will certainly be a bonus not to come up against him."

Despite Bath's part-time status, the former Blackburn and Morecambe keeper feels his new club's team spirit is second to none.

"The lads are a really tight unit and get on well on and off the pitch. I think the fact that we only see each other three times a week helps as it is all less intense."

The magic of the FA Cup certainly produced a splendid shock for City at Grimsby and Robinson believes anything is possible.

He said: "You only have to look at what happened in the last round. Mansfield was the banker and Forest Green beat them."
