RUGBY World Cup winner Mark Regan was amongst the sporting stars to play in a charity golf tournament at The Kendleshire this week.
The former Bath, Bristol and England hooker was helping to raise money for the Jamie Jenkins Autism Fund and the national autistic society at the Coalpit Heath based club.
Former Wales and Southampton goalkeeper Paul Jones, Bristol Rovers captain Stuart Campbell, Yeovil Town manager Terry Skiverton and ex-Bristol City star Scott Murray played 36 holes in the all-day event.
Eight Premiership football referees, including Steve Bennett, Mike Dean, Lee Mason, Phil Dowd and Gloucestershire-based Lee Probert, who helped organise the event, were also in attendance.
The Kendleshire’s international star Chris Lloyd played and the event was also open to members of the general public.
Director of golf, Patrick Murphy, said a lot of money had been raised for Swindon-based autism sufferer Jamie Jenkins and declared the day a success.
He added: "It was a fantastic day, we all really enjoyed it."
